A teenager suffered grievous injuries early on Wednesday morning when he lost control of the car he was driving, and it plunged into a valley.

The accident happened at 12.15am in Victoria Road, Zebbug, Gozo.

The 18-year-old man, from Xewkija, was driving a Fiat.

He was taken to Gozo General Hospital for treatment.
