A 39-year-old was grievously injured in a traffic accident at 1am in Gozo, the police said.

The accident occurred on Mgarr road, Ghajnsielem. The man from St Paul's Bay crashed his Smart Fotywo, which was found on the side of the road.

He was taken to the Gozo General Hospital. Investigations are ongoing.
