Ukraine welcomed the Government of Malta’s political support and assistance to Ukrainians living in Malta, a Foreign Ministry statement said Tuesday. 

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba expressed his appreciation for Malta’s European and international fora efforts to secure a peaceful solution.

“I wholeheartedly thank you for taking care of Ukrainians in Malta,” Kuleba told Minister Bartolo.

Bartolo told Minister Kuleba that he is following Ukraine’s persistent efforts to achieve a ceasefire with dignity. 

“May you succeed, although it takes both sides to reach this objective.”

Bartolo told Minister Kuleba that Malta is welcoming relatives of Ukrainians who live here and started curing children with cancer in our hospital while sending medicinal products to Ukraine. 

“May this cruel war end as soon as possible, and the rebuilding of your country starts,” Bartolo told Kuleba.
