MEP Josianne Cutajar has been appointed to an important new COVID-19 Pandemic Strategy Committee. On Thursday, the European Parliament announced the names of MEPs who will sit on three new Committees set up on 10th of March.

Cutajar is the only Maltese MEP representing the Socialists as a member in this new special Committee, one which has an important role in analysing the effects of the pandemic and looking at how we should proceed forward in the recovery from the pandemic during times when we are facing new challenges - but also opportunities - for our families, workers and businesses.

In her first reaction to this appointment, Dr. Cutajar said that she is honoured to have been entrusted with such an important appointment, which also recognises the work she is doing in various related sectors. She looks forward to strengthen work in the field to develop a concrete and inclusive European strategy for the post Covid-19 pandemic, a strategy that will translate into a resilient vision for the future.
