A temporary ramp is being built near the fast ferry terminal in Gozo to enable an easier access for the Pope from the ferry to the terminal, The Malta Independent is informed.
An Infrastructure Malta spokesperson confirmed this in reply sent to this newsroom.
There will not be, as many were speculating, a “car-fast-ferry”.
It is only a temporary structure, built at a cost of around €45,000.
Pope Francis will be visit Malta and Gozo on Saturday.
