760 new Covid-19 cases registered

760 new cases of Covid-19 were registered on Thursday, bringing the total number of active cases up to 5,640.

The cases were not formally reported, even though Malta now has a health minister, but are available through a health authority database. It is the fourth day in a row that the case numbers have not been issued officially.

303 people have recovered from the virus.

No new-virus-related deaths were reported.

In total, since the start of the pandemic, Malta has had 79,539 cases of Covid-19, of which 72,865 have recovered. 638 people have died.

1,256,530 vaccine shots have been administered thus far, 350,573 of which were booster doses.

Like the past days, no data is given about hospitalisations because the dataset does not contain such information.
