Two more Covid-19 patients have died while positive for the virus, as health authorities reported 607 new cases of the virus on Sunday.

190 people have recovered from the virus, meaning that the number of active cases has risen to 6,910.

The numbers were released through an official dataset administered by the health authorities’ Covid-19 response team, with the Health Ministry now no longer releasing its own dataset on social media.

No details on the two patients who died and no details about hospital numbers form part of the dataset.

1,257,537 doses of the vaccine have been administered thus far, with 351,083 of those being booster doses.

Malta has had 81,596 cases of the virus. 73,649 of those have recovered, while 641 have died.
