A 45-year-old man was grievously injured after he was hit by a vehicle on Triq is-Swieqi, Swieqi, at 9.15am this morning.

The man, who is from Swieqi, was hit by a Honda Accord that was being driven by a 43-year-old Marsascala resident.

The victim was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital. Investigations are ongoing.
