A man was grievously injured on Thursday morning after he was hit by metal objects that fell off a truck.

The accident took place in a site in Triq Triq Ġuże D’Amato, Paola, at around 11am.

The casualty, a 26-year-old Turkish man, was unloading some metal objects from the vehicle.

He was assisted by a medical team and personnel from the Civil Protection Department and was later taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. Police investigations are ongoing.
