St Andrew’s Road to be closed to traffic for several nights

Sunday, 10 July 2022, 09:56 Last update: about 3 years ago

St Andrew’s Road – which links the Coast Road to the Regional Road – will be closed to traffic for several nights, starting from Tuesday.

Infrastructure Malta said on its Facebook page that between Tuesday and Monday, 12 to 18 July, all nights from 8pm to 5am (except for Saturday 16 July), the road will be closed for it to be resurfaced.

The road feeds Pembroke, Swieqi and St Julian’s, and has for many months been in need to be resurfaced. Patchwork carried out some time ago did little to alleviate the situation.

After stormwater catchments were installed – in a project that also took months to complete – the road will now be closed in both directions between corner with Normandy Street and the Paceville Junction.

Drivers are warned to avoid the area as much as possible, and are being urged to use alternative routes.
