A boy and a man were grievously injured in falls on Monday evening, the police said.

In Qala, at 6.30pm, a 56-year-old man fell off a parked truck, grievously injuring himself.

The accident took place in Bishop Mikiel Buttigieg Square. He was taken to Gozo General hospital for treatment.

Later, at 10.30 pm in Gudja, a seven-year-old boy fell down the stairs in a residence in Santa Mrija Street.

He was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
