Following several days of intensive surveillance and investigations targeting a property on Spencer Hill in Marsa, police officers conducted a late-night raid on Wednesday to dismantle an alleged drug trafficking operation, the police said Friday.

Upon entering the residence, authorities arrested a 40-year-old man who lives at the property, along with a 46-year-old man from Isla and a 56-year-old woman from Rabat.

During the search of the premises, investigators discovered quantities of substances suspected to be cocaine and heroin. The officers also seized various items commonly associated with the sale and distribution of narcotics, approximately 700 euros in cash, and several other valuable items.

In a coordinated move during the raid, police intercepted a vehicle on Ninu Cremona Street in Paola.

The driver, a 32-year-old resident of Paola, had been spotted leaving the Marsa residence shortly before the intervention. A search of his car uncovered 25 packets containing a substance believed to be cocaine, as well as a number of used syringes.

All four individuals remain in custody as investigations continue.
