The Mosta Local Council has expressed disappointment and frustration following an act of vandalism at the popular Ġnien tal-Għarusa.

It appears the perpetrators intentionally targeted the area, taking advantage of a known lack of CCTV surveillance to damage the public space, the council said on its Facebook page.

Restoration efforts began early this morning, with council workers arriving on-site to repair the damage and clear debris. 

The council emphasized that these public spaces are meant for the entire community to enjoy and urged citizens to take pride in and protect their surroundings.
