Addressing a political activity in Mosta held at Milbrae Grove, Dr Abela said the proposals contained in the manifesto are expected to lead to a 25% improvement in people's quality of life. He said that every measure being proposed had been carefully studied, planned and costed.

The Prime Minister said Malta's strong economy continues to generate wealth which the government is reinvesting in the people. He highlighted a number of family-oriented proposals, including an additional eight weeks of paid maternity leave, the doubling of paternity leave to one month, and the introduction of six months of parental leave.

He spoke about a further 28 days of leave for parents to be used between childbirth and the child's second birthday, with all the measures to be financed by the government.

Abela said the government also intends to continue strengthening the financial position of families. He referred to the proposed €1,000 "super bonus" for all workers, while part-time employees earning less than €12,000 annually would receive a pro-rata payment of no less than €500.

The Prime Minister also said discussions would be launched with stakeholders to further strengthen flexible working arrangements.

Abela described Milbrae Grove as an example of the government's commitment to investing in green and open public spaces aimed at improving family life.

He also referred to planned projects at Manoel Island and White Rocks as part of the government's wider vision for urban regeneration and public spaces.

Abela concluded by saying that the Labour Party would continue investing in families and businesses while ensuring that nobody is left behind. He described the "Int Malta" manifesto as the choice that would take the country to its next level of success.
