ADPD-The Green Party has issued a sharp rebuke of the Prime Minister, accusing him of fostering a climate of hate and exclusion by intentionally denying foreign workers a proposed €1,000 bonus.
Spokesperson Mario Mallia labelled the Prime Minister's recent boast about finding legal loopholes to exclude non-Maltese workers as dangerous and unworthy of his office, suggesting the move was a calculated attempt to appeal to racist elements within his party for electoral gain.
Mallia highlighted the contradiction in these actions following Worker's Day celebrations, noting that the nation's economic growth heavily relies on these very workers who already earn significantly less than their Maltese and European counterparts.
Calling for a return to social justice, ADPD insisted on an inclusive economy rooted in ethics and dignity for all laborers regardless of their origin.
