The police are searching for 72-year-old Canadian national Sebestian Emmanuel Ellul, who has been reported missing.

In a statement, the police said that Ellul was last seen in Birżebbuġa.

At the time, he was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, a green cap with the word "Malta" written on it, and a small grey waist bag, the statement said.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the police, even anonymously, by calling Police Headquarters on 21224001 or 119, or by reporting to the nearest police station, the statement said.
