In recent years, during Carnival, activities have been organised for people with a disability. The aim of this is to ensure that Carnival activities have a holistic approach and include the disabled, and that disabled people are not segregated, but part of a mainstream activity.

For this purpose, an open costume competition is being organised for Carnival 2005.
