The Malta Communications Authority has published a consultation paper proposing new mechanisms that will facilitate the effective resolution of disputes between electronic communications service providers.
MCA Chairman, Joseph V Tabone said: "As markets continue to develop, issues are bound to arise which could cause difficulty, particularly for new entrants to the market.
It is therefore crucial that such issues are dealt with efficiently and effectively as appropriate."
The proposed procedures for the lodging and handling of disputes, including the level of information required to enable the MCA to consider the issues and guiding timeframes are detailed in the said Consultation paper.
Interested parties are invited to submit their views by not later than 5pm on Friday 11 March.
Copies of the document can be downloaded from the MCA's website at www.mca.org.mt or copies can be obtained free of charge from the MCA's offices.
