The Denner Clarinet Quartet will be giving a recital of chamber music entitled “Denner goes to town” at the next lunchtime concert organised by the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts. The recital will take place on Wednesday in the Music Room of St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity in Valletta.
The concert starts at 12.35pm and lasts approximately 30 minutes. Tickets at Lm0.75 and Lm0.50 each for children under 12 and senior citizens can be purchased from the Booking Office at St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity, Valletta, Tel: 21 223 200 (opening hours 10am to 9pm daily).
The concert programme features modern songs and classics, namely themes from Mission Impossible and James Bond, Freddie Mercury’s Bohemian Rhapsody, Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf (narrated by Dr Mario Tabone Vassallo), and Marino’s Bach & Blues.
Founded in 2002, the Denner Clarinet Quartet is composed of Lino Pirotta, Stephen Dimech, William Debattista and Christopher Camilleri. The group’s repertoire covers a range of musical styles, including classical, romantic and contemporary.
