Following the successful runs of the drum-dancing and musical drama by a troupe of Congolese immigrants at the Malta Drama Centre, there has been a general request for a repeat performance of “Katanga!”

The extra show will be presented next Sunday, at the same venue in Blata l-Bajda (entrance through Maria Regina Junior Lyceum, in front of the Nationalist Party HQ).

The programme will retain the same repertoire, including sequences which are meant to involve the audience in the celebration of African rhythms. The part of the show proved very successful and, as one performer put it, “the public was ready to open all their emotional doors to us.”
