The Maltese Association of Social Workers has condemned the recent spate of violent attacks directed at the Jesuits, individuals working with this agency, Saviour Balzan and Daphne Caruana Galizia.
The association said these attacks were aimed to intimidate and instil fear to hinder freedom of speech and expression.
“Social workers believe and agree that all individuals are entitled to their dignity and to have a right to life and liberty.
This principle must be preserved,” the association said.
The association said that zero intolerance should be exercised towards these acts of intolerance towards people who are only exercising their basic human rights.
