50th Anniversary celebratory concert at Mdina Cathedral

A celebratory concert will be held at the Mdina Cathedral to mark the 50th anniversary of the institution of the social security scheme in Malta.

The concert, being held in collaboration with the Mdina Cathedral Metropolitan Chapter is scheduled for Saturday at 7.30pm.

The programme includes compositions by Bach, Handel, Stanley, Clarke, Mozart, Caccini, Franck, Mascagni, and Verdi, is sure to attract many classical music lovers. All the scores are celebratory works for soprano, trumpet and organ and will feature John Aquilina on the organ, Jacqueline Micallef Grimaud, soprano, and Michael Pulis on the trumpet.

The concert will last approximately 70 minutes. The general public is cordially invited to attend and to be seated by 7.20pm. Those who wish to avail themselves of public transport to attend the concert may make use of the Rabat route bus numbers 80, 81 and 84.
