The Education Ministry will offer 80 four-week summer work placements to university student organisations.

In a statement issued yesterday, the government said that it will offer some 80 four-week work placements for 20 hours per week to various organisations, which means that students will have the opportunity of a summer job.

The placements will be in projects that are put forward by student organisations themselves. The ministry has therefore requested that student organisations with a valid project that could provide such employment for the summer should send a prospectus for evaluation.

The ministry said that not every project put forward will be accepted automatically and not all projects will necessarily be assigned the number of students they have requested for placement. The placements will be allocated according to the viability and validity of the project. The prospectuses should be submitted to Room 6, Education Department, Floriana, by no later than 10 June..
