The EU4U Roadshow, an information exhibition with the aim of creating public awareness on the EU Structural Funds, has now moved on to its third stop, in Marsalforn Gozo, having previously visited Qawra and Marsaxlokk.
The Information Roadshow will highlight how Gozo is benefiting from EU Structural Funds. There are various projects funded through the Structural Funds that are targeting Gozo, some of which include the Archeological Museum Project, a Scuba Diving related Project, the Extension of the Centre for Arts and Crafts and the Development of an Incubation Centre, Craft Courses for Sustainable Careers in Gozo, the Upgrading of the arterial road network, University of Malta Gozo Centre Courses, ETC Gozo – Course and Schemes. It will also highlight how persons in different sectors and from all walks of life are benefiting.
Since Malta’s admission to the EU e86 million have been allocated on the basis of priorities agreed to by Malta and the European Commission, with e63 million being financed directly by the EU.
The EU4U Roadshow opened in Marsalforn on Tuesday and will run from 11am up to 11pm, closing at 10pm on Sunday. The Roadshow will then be set up in the last locality, Valletta, between Tuesday 10 October and Sunday 15 October.
The EU4U Roadshow is being organised by The Planning and Priorities Co-ordination Division within the Office of the Prime Minister as the Managing Authority for Structural Funds.
