Labour Leader, deputy leaders submit nominations

Labour leader Alfred Sant, together with deputy party leaders Charles Mangion and Michael Falzon, yesterday submitted their nominations as candidates for the general election of 8 March.

Dr Sant will contest the first electoral district – Valletta, Floriana, Hamrun, Pieta’, part of Marsa and part of Sta Venera; and the eighth– Birkirkara, Lija, part of Sta Venera and Iklin.

Dr Mangion, on the other hand, will contest the fourth district – Gudja, Ghaxaq, Paola, Sta Lucija, Tarxien and part of Marsa; and the sixth – Qormi, Siggiewi and Luqa.

Dr Falzon will contest the second district – Vittoriosa, Senglea, Cospicua, Zabbar, Kalkara and Xghajra; and the 10th – Gzira, Pembroke, St Julian’s and Sliema.
