Community Chest Fund Gives donations and Easter eggs

President Edward Fenech Adami’s wife Mrs Mary Fenech Adami presented her last donations as Malta Community Chest Fund chairperson to 16 philanthropic organisations, NGOs and orphanages yesterday.

The donations consisted of financial aid, specialised equipment and white goods amounting to e30,145 were presented at the presidential palace in Valletta, yesterday.

The beneficiaries were Circolo San Gwann Bosco, Casa Leone, Dar Hanin Samaritan, Dar tal-Providenza, Dominican sisters, Fatima House, Frangiscan sisters, Frangiscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart, Ghaqda Zghazagh b’Dizabilita’, Jesus of Nazareth Home, Little Sisters of the Poor, Osanna Pia Salesian Hostel, St Dominic Clinic, YMCA and Arka Respite Centre.

President Fenech Adami thanked the Maltese people for keeping MCCF alive with its continuous contributions and the welfare organisations for their sterling work with the most needy. The fund became a source of hope not only for welfare organisations but also for individuals who need financial support said the President. He added that through MCCF he had the opportunity of experiencing the generous characteristic of the Maltese people based on Christian values and solidarity. He augured MCCF and its volunteers to continue their excellent work.

Later, many young smiling faces who surrounded the president and his wife brightened the atmosphere inside the palace.

Each child living in children’s homes and their caregivers received Easter eggs donated by MCCF
