MaltaPost rebutts claims by FKNK that discrimination over licence payments occurred

Thursday, 4 February 2016, 20:01 Last update: about 11 years ago

MaltaPost, in response to allegations made by the FKNK that discrimination during payments of hunting licences occurred, stressed that hunters/trappers licenses are only available from its offices on "a temporary basis within a short time window".

The FKNK earlier said that hunters are being requested to pay their licenses in cash, only at offices belonging to MaltaPost, while cheques could be used for other services on offer there. The hunters said that this could be seen as discrimination.

MaltaPost, in a statement, said; "It is normal practice that payment for such temporary services are only accepted in cash".

"MaltaPost does accept payment by cheques up to restricted amounts for certain products and services which are however of an ongoing nature".
