A man is being questioned in connection with a robbery that took place yesterday at a jewellery store in Republic Street, Valletta.

In a statement, the police said that at about 11.30am, they received a report that someone had robbed a store. Police went onsite and the owner said that a man had stolen a number of items worth a substantial amount of money. Investigations led to the arrest of a man who is helping in investigations. Duty magistrate J Demicoli appointed a number of experts to assist in an inquiry.
