A 30-year-old Frenchman was grievously injured on Saturday afternoon in a quadbike accident in Xaghra, Gozo.

The accident took place in Triq il-Marga at around 3.30pm, the police said.

The man lost control of a quadbike and fell. His injuries were later certified as grievous.

The police are investigating.
